One White Horse Standing Newsletter

JANUARY 2015

Hi Folks,

This issue covers the workshops that are scheduled for this year with one exception. I will send out details for the October workshop in Wisconsin.

Presently, I am limiting the number of workshops to 5 per year. This enables me to recharge between workshops.

The energies in the workshops continue to grow. Many people are finding their true self and the joy of being who they are.  A wonderful time for all in 2015.

Bountiful Blessings,
One White Horse Standing

Upcoming Workshops:

The Hummingbird
Tireless Joy & Nectar of Life

Cycle of Power: Daytime

January 23-25, 2015
Bethel Horizons, Dodgeville, Wisconsin

hawk-1Hummingbirds are very small birds with a high metabolism. A great deal of energy is spent flying, so they must feed almost constantly. Hummingbirds can consume up to twice their body weight in nectar every day. They usually feed on nectar and insects. Hummingbirds actually lap up the nectar with their tongues. A lot of people think that hummingbirds have a hollow tongue like a straw. Their tongues do have grooves on the sides that collect nectar. When the bill constricts, the hummingbird can swallow the nectar from flowers and feeders. The hummingbird teaches us to extract our own nectar from life.

Hummingbirds tend to fill us with wonder and joy. Whether in flight or building their nests, their precision fascinates us. They are extremely independent. It teaches the medicine of flowers and how to use the flower essences such as Bach’s flower remedies for healing.

The hummingbird can fly backward forward and sideways. It has been associated with fire and relationships, the past and the future. Backward is extremely unique and reminds us that we have many choices in any moment including to create joy from the dark past.

Awakening to Crystals
A Journey into Stone Energy
& Healing

March 27-29, 2015
Camp Asbury, Hiram OH

Awakening To Crystals

Focus of the Workshop

Rocks and crystals have been treasured for their beauty and healing energies since the dawn of time. In similar ways, rocks and crystals can assist in our spiritual journeys. For example, they bring forth spirit energies that provide interesting applications in the ordinary and non-ordinary realities. For some, the rock and crystal spirit energies can enhance shamanic work by adding new experiential dimensions to the ecstatic journey. For others, the rock and crystal spirit energies provide a new set of tools to be used in healing practices, such as establishing protective energy cocoons. At a minimum, as we learn to awaken the spirit energies of the rocks and crystals, parts of ourselves will begin to awaken as well.

What to Expect

Using hands-on experiences, the workshop will focus on energy systems and creating a state of grace, balance and harmony, where healing of the body, mind, soul, and spirit can occur. We will use shamanic journeying to assist us in creating sacred spaces as healing processes for self and others.

Who Should Come

The workshop is designed for people from all walks of life. It is focused toward expanding the skills for spiritual explorers, practicing healers, and curious people. Hence, crystal healers, hands-on healers, shamanic practitioners, body-workers, and the delightfully inquisitive can expand their skills through the use of crystal energies.

Raven Medicine

September 11-13, 2014
Camp Asbury
Hiram, OH

Raven MedicineMagic, shape shifting, and creation are its keynotes. Its cycle of power is Winter solstice. It is the bird of birth and death, and it is a bird of mysticism and magic.

The raven represents a duality as folklore around the world depicts in terms of both light and darkness. It was considered by some to be "unclean" due to its being a scavenger. Odin, the Norse god, used them as spiritual messengers. In some areas, it was believed that the Raven foretold death, and others believed that wicked priests became Ravens.

The Raven is a member of the corvids family, crows and magpies. The only difference between a raven and a crow is size. The raven is much larger. Thus, much of what applies to the crow applies to the raven.

Separate from the crow, the raven is believed to bring forth life and order. Nothing could exist without the raven. It stole the sunlight from the one who would keep the world in darkness. It is honored in art and on totem poles, reflecting the tales and mysticism that have developed around it.

Sacred Space

The sacred space will be anchored by an altar of 800-1000 pounds of rocks and crystals. In addition, each person is asked to bring eight(8) pieces of granite that will be used to create individual and intertwining sacred circles. The combination will be to create a massive healing energy to anchor the weekend.

Integration

Raven MedicineIntegration is the process by which we begin to support the chaos around and within us to form a new order. For some, this will be to complete the parallel (or past, if you are linear) life lessons and unfinished business, and/or to heal bleed-through. For others, it will be a return to the center, where the wisdom of internal authority will be rekindled to provide a guiding light for each person.

Dragon Medicine Workshop

A Initiation Into a Fuller Self

Dragon Medicine is the essence
of self-transformation

December 4-6, 2015
Camp Asbury, Hiram, Ohio

Dragon Medicine

The workshop is a shamanic intensive retreat; held in a circle of sacred space where all participants share the experience of their healing journey. The class is structured around using sacred space and various exercises, prayers and journeys to explore your relationship to dragon medicine. As you connect your internal dragons will transform. They might be dragons who already assist and teach you and in that case you will deepen your relationship with them. Or they might be dragons who protect you from your inner traumas at the expense of holding parts of you hostage. Either way the dragons can reveal a path to deeper levels of your heart.

Dragon myths are filled with duality. They are associated with fire and ice. Western myths tend to be filled with the fiery character of dragons. Stories of their power as warriors and the awakening of greed and carnal natures. Eastern culture has focused on the watery side of dragon with stories of magical cures and the search for the elixir of eternal life. In both cultures dragons are connected to royalty. In this workshop we will journey to both the source of fire and water to see what each holds for us as gifts and how we can source our deep healing from them.

On the mythological level, many cultures have myths of dragons or the “world serpent” holding the world together. To “wake the dragon” in these stories will cause earthquakes so big they will break the world apart. In our personal world, we are often prevented from integrating the trauma's that shape us by fears that the world will end. This workshop guides you step by step into transforming your “dragons” into powerful allies for self-knowledge.

We have limited the number of attendees to 25.
