We move into the new year with many changes happening. Most important is the test to stay present in the chaotic environment of our country. That said, I continue to encourage everyone to take 5 minutes or more each day to be quiet and possibly meditate. It will prove very helpful during these turbulent times.
There are four workshops this year. First is a return to nothing but shamanic journeys. We will journey through the drums, rattles and occasional guided meditation. This will be in February. In May and September we will move into reptilian energies by engaging in the alligator and snake energies. Both very powerful energies. We will close the year with Whale energy—an ancient animal of wisdom.
I have thought about the prices and have lowered the early bird prices by $100 to $395 and reduced the regular price from $545 to $495. The hope is to send an energetic trend to lower prices, and enable more people to attend.
We are in the process of establishing a scholarship fund. I will fund the initial outlay through selling necklaces and other things I have made. These will be sold at every workshop. In addition, if needed, I will hold a workshop where all funds after expenses are put into the scholarship fund. The program will also accept donations.
The fund will be managed independent of me. More details about the program and people administering it will come in future newsletter.

Alligator

in many native american traditions, the alligator is considered a spirit animal that represents strength, protection, rebirth, adaptability, patience, balance, and wisdom. by connecting with the alligator spirit animal, one may be able to tap into these qualities and find guidance and support on their personal journey.
for those who connect with the alligator spirit animal, its symbolism of power and strength can be empowering. by embodying the alligator's energy, we may be seen as strong and confident, able to take on challenges and overcome obstacles. just as the alligator uses its physical strength to survive in its environment, we can use our inner strength and resilience to navigate the challenges of our own lives.
the alligator also reminds us of the importance of patience and observation in gaining wisdom. the alligator's patient hunting behavior and ability to wait for the right moment to strike is a lesson in the value of taking our time and observing our surroundings before taking action.
additionally, the alligator's ability to adapt to different environments and situations is a reminder that wisdom is not static or fixed, but rather a constantly evolving process of learning and adaptation.

Whale

The whale is a symbol of peace, wisdom and longevity.

The bowhead whale, which lives in the Arctic waters near Canada and Greenland, has a very special characteristic. It has become a symbol of longevity, as its life expectancy is the longest of any mammal in the world. It can live for two hundred years or more!
This unique and incredible longevity is associated with knowledge of the Earth's secrets and the past. If you have the whale as your spirit animal, it will help you work on and strengthen your memory. These water mammals have an excellent memory, just like the elephant. They use this memory to return year after year to the same places where they know they'll find food, for example.
The whale reminds you that your memory is a personal asset that you need to nurture and stimulate. Taking care of your memory will enable you to remain free and independent, even in old age. It can also boost your self-confidence and help you socialize.
