Whale

December 12-14, 2025
Camp Asbury, Hiram Ohio

The whale is a symbol of peace, wisdom and longevity.

Ancient whales are associated with wisdom. This spiritual guide holds an ancestral wisdom that urges us to take the path of Peace.

When you are accompanied by the whale totem, you receive its intelligence, maturity and discernment. This enables you to be more understanding, patient and thoughtful.

The bowhead whale, which lives in the Arctic waters near Canada and Greenland, has a very special characteristic. It has become a symbol of longevity, as its life expectancy is the longest of any mammal in the world. It can live for two hundred years or more!

This unique and incredible longevity is associated with knowledge of the Earth's secrets and the past. If you have the whale as your spirit animal, it will help you work on and strengthen your memory. These water mammals have an excellent memory, just like the elephant. They use this memory to return year after year to the same places where they know they'll find food, for example.

The whale reminds you that your memory is a personal asset that you need to nurture and stimulate. Taking care of your memory will enable you to remain free and independent, even in old age. It can also boost your self-confidence and help you socialize. The more the years go by and the more fragile our memory becomes, the whale will be your ideal spirit animal if you want to strengthen yours.

If the whale spirit is by your side, it may mean that you've been under a lot of emotional pressure. Just as when a whale lifts its body to the surface of the water to catch its breath, the whale teaches you to free yourself from your weights and emotions. You need to create new space for new feelings. This is called emotional rebirth.
